Frequently Asked Questions – School Employers

Q: How long has TeacherJobs been in business?

A: TeacherJobs has been in business since 2007. Our Staffing Specialists have been helping schools find qualified educators for their faculty positions for over 25 years.

Q: How does TeacherJobs work?

A. Step One: Inform us of the specifics of your faculty openings along with the desired qualifications of the candidates you seek.

Step Two: Our Staffing Specialists will carefully review our candidate files to select those who meet your desired qualifications.  We then speak with the candidates about the position to confirm their availability and interest. This assures that the candidates have a sincere interest in your school. We present those interested candidates to you for your consideration. Some school administrators prefer to review credential files prior to scheduling interviews, and we are happy to provide that for you. Many administrators who have worked with us previously have come to trust us to send them only qualified candidates, and let us know what times they have available and have us to schedule the interviews for them. We try to make it easy for you!

Step Three: You interview candidates and you select whoever is the best fit for your school. If it is one of our candidates, then we’ve done a great job for you. If it is not our candidate, that is fine…we gave you some candidates to interview so that you could evaluate your options.

Q: How is TeacherJobs different from all the other online websites?

A: We are a FULL SERVICE teacher staffing service. We’re not just a database of jobs. Our Staffing Specialists will carefully review our candidate files to select those who meet your desired qualifications. We then speak with the candidates about the position to confirm their availability and interest. This assures that the candidates have a sincere interest in your school. Q: What happens if I find a teacher on my own?

A: TeacherJobs is one resource for finding a teacher. You are welcome to source other candidates as well. We just want you to find the best teacher for your school.

Q: How long does it take to find candidates?

A: We begin your personalized candidate search immediately after you list your job(s) and generally will present candidates to you within 24 hours. Some positions may take a little longer, but we keep you informed.  .

Q: What types of schools are served?

A: We work with a wide variety of K-12 schools including public, charter, Independent private and religious private schools in urban, suburban and rural areas.  We only serve schools located in the U.S.

Q: What educators are represented?

A: Our candidates vary from beginning teachers to mid-career educators seeking a change to highly experienced educators who have retired from one system but are still energetic and passionate about teaching. All fields of educators are represented including Teachers, Counselors, Library Media Specialists and Administrators – elementary, middle and high school.

Q: How much does it cost an employer to use TeacherJobs’ services to fill positions?

A: Generally, there is NO COST for schools to use our services.
